This intensive 2-day course is designed for veterinary surgeons who wish to enhance their knowledge and surgical skills in treating cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) rupture, one of the most common causes of lameness in dogs.

The course is divided into two main modules – TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) and CCWO (Closing Wedge Osteotomy) – combining theoretical lectures with practical hands-on training in a dynamic and effective format.

During the theoretical sessions, participants will review:

  • Stifle joint anatomy
  • Diagnosis of cruciate ligament rupture and interpretation of radiographs
  • Stifle biomechanics and osteotomy principles
  • Pre-operative surgical planning with interactive exercises
  • Meniscal treatment techniques

The practical component takes place in fully equipped laboratories, where participants will perform the surgical techniques on canine cadavers, allowing for realistic and safe hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced instructors.
